Do you think this laptop would handle Fallout: New Vegas at maximum settings with 60 frames per second? ASUS VivoBook 14, 14-inch FHD display, AMD Ryzen 7-3700U processor, AMD Radeon RX Vega 10 graphics, 8 GB DDR4 RAM, and a 512 GB PCIe SSD.

Current laptops can handle Fallout New Vegas at full performance, so it should work well.

It seems you're suggesting a lower-quality rendering setting for performance reasons. It's been a while since I worked with hardware that handled more demanding graphics.

Most personal laptops feature many models equipped with low-performance processors and 4GB of memory.

The 5-year-old tablet with a 1.44ghz Z8300 processor, 2GB RAM, and 25fps cinematic playback should handle Fallout New Vegas at high settings without lag. Most modern laptops are likely to surpass that performance, especially with newer processors, better graphics, and more memory.

Is your five-year-old computer having a 1080p display? That’s quite a big difference!

Fps decreases by five points at 1080p resolution. My argument remains valid. Contemporary CPUs offer greater clock rates, improved IPC and more execution units. For instance the N4200 can reach up to 2.4ghz across all four cores, provided adequate cooling and my Z8300 operates at 1600mhz under load. Regarding integrated graphics, the N4200 provides 18 execution units capable of up to 750mhz, whereas the Z8300 has 12 units capped at 500mhz. The N4200 is a last-generation chip; newer models like Jasper Lake CPUs and Intel Pentiums built on 10nm deliver even faster clock speeds for both CPU and integrated graphics, plus more advanced execution units. Additionally, the game ran without optimizations, allowing minor adjustments to boost FPS with minimal visual changes. I chose the N4200 for this comparison because modern laptops with these CPUs cost roughly the same as my previous tablet when purchased new.

I didn't even mention the higher-performing i3 models you referenced.

Apologies for the mix-up. I was thinking of New Vegas and 76, but I’m now accurate.
