Hey everyone, I just purchased a $50 Steam gift card for AC4 and now have $25 remaining. Since both games have similar Metacritic ratings, it was tough to decide between Hitman: Absolution and Blood Money. If I choose Blood Money, I’ll have enough left to buy another AC game, which would be nice. Still, Absolution seems really impressive. What do you think? Any recommendations or feedback? Thanks!
Just wait for a discount and grab both items. A huge Hitman enthusiast and I can't imagine playing Absolution without understanding the story from Blood Money, honestly. Plus, skip the Absolution DLC—it's mostly about multiplayer and doesn't add much value.
It's a matter of personal taste, as discussed in this conversation. Some prefer Absolution for its storytelling and graphics, while others favor Blood Money for more freedom and an authentic Hitman experience. That doesn't mean Absolution isn't challenging, though. I lean toward Blood Money despite stiffer controls and less polished visuals—it delivers the same non-linear gameplay and flexibility as previous titles, allowing you to choose your own path. I still appreciate Absolution, particularly its traditional-style levels like "The King of Chinatown" and "Shaving Lenny," which were hallmarks of earlier Hitman games, offering multiple ways to handle challenges discreetly.
OP currently has $25 in their Steam account. The next offer should arrive soon. Consider adding both to your wishlist and hold for the deal. Or simply wait until the winter sale to grab it for around $20–$25.
Solution: purchase Blood Money, then another ac title (likely Brotherhood), and hold off until absolution drops cheap in a discount. It looks like most people think absolution is a solid game, blood money is more accessible, and it's a better Hitman experience overall. Thanks for your assistance!
Blood money stands out as the top choice for hitmen, among the finest stealth titles ever made. However, after upgrading to Windows 8.1, my new setup freezes once I finish a mission, preventing further progress. Absolution falls short in this category, while Contracts performs well on 8.1 and delivers solid gameplay, though not quite matching Blood money. Hitman 2 is also decent, but its compatibility with 8.1 remains uncertain.
Absolution is the most affected hitman; a straightforward approach works best. Paying for blood is more effective.
