I have a reference picture and I need to examine a folder containing many images, looking for a version that closely resembles it.
Any suggestions?
Since the match shouldn't be perfect, I can't rely on name or size details.

If it isn't going to be an exact match, this is an AI type problem. "Show me any pictures like this dog" ...
Google image search can do this, but for web images. I don't know of anything else.

VisiPics is great at locating comparable pictures.
But using it this way, you simply direct it to a folder and it checks everything there for matches.

Right. Identifying duplicates is easy. As I mentioned, matching images with a dog on them and locating all such images is an AI challenge. I’m not aware of any way to solve that.

Reviewed search terms related to "image recognition programs." Explored relevant pages and gathered additional links. Adjusted criteria to refine results further. The goal is to identify suitable programs that align with the described needs. It's important to note that practical performance depends on testing, especially for applications like robot navigation where object recognition must support movement or interaction without direct manipulation.

Drag the image into the search box and select "Search by image." It appears to be Google Lenses.
