Looking for some beginner-friendly video editing tools and filming advice? I’m aiming for something smooth on my Windows 8.1 with the AMD A10 processor and Radeon graphics, avoiding heavy resource use while keeping features similar to Windows Movie Maker. Any suggestions?

All video editors require significant processing power. If you need something straightforward with basic capabilities, I’ve tried CyberLink PowerDirector—it performed well for me.

Adobe Premiere Pro or Sony Vegas Pro for software. Study it, avoid other editing tools. If you wish, Xilisoft's Media Creator is a good choice and PowerDVD's video editor version.

It costs money. For others, you can use free tools like Windows Movie Maker and Lightworks, but the process is more difficult.

You could always explore a complete lifetime trial from the pirate bay of premier pro CS6. There’s no chance you’ll locate a video editing tool that isn’t demanding on the CPU unless you reduce the resolution to 720P or use already compressed footage.
