Hi, I'm looking to assemble a gaming PC using a Ryzen 3 3300X and GTX 1660 Super. I'm unsure which motherboard to pick since I don't plan to upgrade later. Do you have any recommendations for compatible (non-upgradable) boards for that processor? Thanks! :3

A solid B450 board works well. You can skip updating everything if the MAX motherboards come with 3000 series chips already installed.

The B540 isn't compatible with the Ryzen 4000 CPU, so let's focus on other options for your upgrade path. It's not a great choice, so think twice before purchasing.

Consider delaying your purchase of the B550 motherboard. The B450 model is essentially out of support, so future upgrades won't include the latest Zen3 (Ryzen 4000) processors.
