I purchased a 9800x3d a couple of days ago, grabbed it from Amazon because I needed to upgrade my rig and the CPU wasn’t available locally. I haven’t bought a motherboard yet; I’ve been checking out the GIGABYTE B650 Eagle Ax starting at 150€, which is cheaper than most alternatives. Is this board suitable, and what would I be sacrificing by choosing it over other B650 models? Italy
Great purchase! This GIGABYTE B650 Eagle EX works excellently with the 9800X3D and offers solid performance. I've tested it with various Ryzen 7000 CPUs and it performs just as well as other boards. You won't notice any drop in speed compared to alternatives. Some boards might have extra USB ports or M.2 slots, but the BIOS update is essential for the Eagle AX to function properly with the 9800X3D. The Q-Flash Plus feature makes updates convenient even without a CPU, RAM, or GPU installed.
