Hey there! This forum doesn't have the latest BIOS updates, but @TheDailyProcrastinator might help. They could possibly lend you an Athlon CPU to upgrade the BIOS, though you'd need to return it. I’m not sure how much that board is worth, so I’d appreciate advice from someone else on this topic.

It's one of the rare B450 models with a fully updated BIOS. You can find a B570 board for about $40 to $50 extra, but it's not necessary.

It's only a 65W power consumption on that chip, and the built-in cooler works fine, but it won't handle the need for overclocking.

The stock cooler should work even with minor clock adjustments. For the CPU, a Scythe Mugen 5 Rev. B is recommended. The case fan should be the Noctua NF-R8 Redux-1800 PWM – it’s a solid, affordable option without the brown and tan finish, ensuring a good fit.
