the stock cooler performs poorly. locking the i9 10900 to 65 watts helps, but it still struggles. the 10900 needs 140w sometimes (depending on bios) or 240w without power restrictions. cooling units you referenced can manage 140w if the case allows airflow, but none of them handle 240w. it’s not close at all.
Your concern is clear. Why choose the i9 10900 when alternatives like the 11400, 10700, or Ryzen 5 5600X exist? It seems you're looking for more performance. Based on your older posts, you likely need a CPU with at least 10 cores—Ryzen 9 3900X or 5900X would be even better options. Intel's newer models are decent but not as strong.
For the tools I rely on, at least ten processing units are required. If a six-core solution were sufficient, I’d opt for a 5600X model—but that’s not my case.
