Seal de CPU desdividida
2 years experience using very little silicon adhesive—just a single dot at each opposite corner. I believe reworking isn’t needed at all.
Relaying might fix issues like poor contact with the cooler or block if necessary. I remember needing to replace it several times after a delid; the cooler wouldn’t sit properly on the die and eventually required finding the correct cooler/block for a delidded chip. In most situations, a full reseal isn’t essential—just securing the corners to keep the lid in place works well.
I've also noticed many using excessive adhesive, which ruins the goal of delidding, leaving a large gap between the IHS and die. So, probably best to think carefully.
