Hey there, I've noticed your Asus VG279Q1A showing this odd behavior. When you increase the display settings above 120Hz, part of the screen just turns black. It seems unrelated to your PC or drivers, but the most puzzling thing is that certain fullscreen games work perfectly at full resolution and refresh rate without any issues. I haven't seen anything like this before, and the only other person I found online with the same problem hasn't responded. You mentioned you have the warranty, so you can return it if needed, but you'd prefer not to deal with shipping. Any suggestions?

Have you checked for updates? Certain titles have their own loading screens, so if some function properly while others behave oddly it might indicate a problem with the software. It could also be related to specific engines like Unreal4 or something else entirely. Knowing which games are affected can help determine the cause.

It occurs on Windows 10, Windows 11, and even without a connected device.

When no computer is connected, the monitor’s electronics might be the issue. An RMA could be necessary unless it’s a configuration problem. I’d check the return process and also contact the company to see if a settings adjustment would help. Some functionality issues may still matter. If the problem comes from a built-in coding mistake, an RMA won’t resolve it.
