Hello everyone, I'm facing some issues with my computer. It's connected to a machine that hasn't been restarted for about three to four months. When it starts, everything works fine—fans spin up and after a few seconds the Windows 10 icon appears, followed by the charging wheel. However, once it boots, it stays on a black screen (Image 1). I can move the mouse and press a few keys like Windows+P, but nothing happens (Image 2). I can't use Control+Alt+Del or any other combination, and I've checked all three main pages of Google for "Windows 10 black screen after startup/before login." If anyone has suggestions, please let me know. I've tried everything: using VGA/HDMI, booting in safe mode, running the disk repair tool, using Windows ISO, executing CHKDSK, using DiskPart from CMD, booting UEFI/Legacy, and trying Windows+key combinations. The system is a Dell Optiplex 7050 desktop (Image 1). I took a photo of the black screen, but it looks like this is the same image from Google. The computer is a desktop (IMAGE 1).

We're just reinstalling Windows soon, so everything will be back in order in no time. You've already completed most of the troubleshooting steps. Rest assured, you'll have your applications restored quickly.

Yes... I was thinking on that too. Have everything ready to reinstall but I wrote down the post just in case this happened to someone else and there is a bit of hope at the end :') Thank you for your reply and your time!

You're facing a challenging situation with your computer. It seems like Windows is giving you trouble during the reset process. You're considering recovering data before the reset and are feeling frustrated. Let me know if you'd like advice on troubleshooting or restoring your system.
