I recently received my new monitor supporting HDMI and DP. The previous model used VGA, connected via a DVI to VGA adapter to the graphics card. Now, when I switch to Windows+P and select the PC screen, it redirects me back to the old VGA display. During startup, the boot screen displays the old monitor. I've already switched the BIOS to UEFI mode, but that didn't resolve the issue. I've removed all monitor drivers except HDMI, yet the problem persists. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Processor: i5 4460 Motherboard: Gigabyte B85m D3H-A GPU: Galax 1660 Super Monitor 1: Samsung Full HD 144hz through HDMI Monitor 2: Dell 900P VGA (GPU uses DVI, so I'm employing a converter)

You're wondering if you can display the BIOS screen on your main monitor. Many motherboards include a button for this purpose. With my Asrock A320M-HDV R3.0, I can press TAB to switch between connected screens during startup. Keep an eye out for any labels or shortcuts while the system boots—usually they show up before the OS loads or the BIOS opens. Also, your motherboard might be outdated and unable to handle screen switching at boot.

Yeah it's a very old motherboard. Couldn't find anything like that. I thought disabling CSM mode would work but still nothing.
