I’m using Windows 10 2004 on ADATA SU630 480 Gb Sata SSD. Shutting down or restarting takes a long time. Booting works fine when the PC is off, but it’s slow at first. I thought it was a power issue, reset overclocks and removed the GPU just in case. I could reinstall OS later, but I don’t have time now—it’s too frustrating to reinstall everything on my SSD.

Certain tools can affect this process. For instance, with UltraVNC the shutdown might take longer—sometimes up to ten seconds more. Likely other applications (such as Kaspersky) do the same. This happens because they require more time to terminate. Don’t be concerned; it’s not a boot issue.
The issue involves a Windows 10 problem with the Page File. This feature helps extend your RAM by moving unused memory to the hard drive when needed. Programs often cause shutdowns because they consume too much memory; closing them can resolve the problem.
