I’m looking for assistance with an issue involving an external display on my new Lenovo Slim 7i. I connected it to a second monitor (Dell G2524H) and initially everything worked. However, after adjusting the refresh rate of the second display to 144 (which increased to 240), the monitor stopped working and displayed a message saying “Display 2 is not active.” The laptop functions normally, but Windows detects it yet still shows the error. I’m using a Kensington docking station with a USB-C cable into the Lightning port and then a display port cable from the dock to the monitor. I suspect restoring the refresh rate to 60 will resolve the problem, but I can’t access the settings anymore. The second monitor works fine with other devices. I’ve tried restarting both devices, using extend display mode, showing on two screens, and duplicating displays, but it always returns to showing only the first one. In Intel Graphics Command Center, I clicked “enable” for the second display without success. I uninstalled the monitor in Device Manager, reconnected it, and updated all drivers. I deleted registry keys for the monitor and restarted again after reading a Reddit solution. Lenovo support contacted me and suggested visiting a service center for a hands-on check. Thank you for any advice!

Have you attempted DDU and reinstalled the display drivers? Also, are you using a reset option through the monitor’s settings? If you’re connecting another monitor as a secondary display, does the problem persist? Good luck!

The reset process appeared effective once all other adjustments were made.
