Hello, I got a laptop from a friend with a screen that flickers when not connected to power. The flickering happens whenever an app opens—like Explorer, Chrome, or Task Manager—and it stops after launching. It also occurs when windows starts before you log in, after updates, and even when restarting the computer. The screen is still showing issues despite a recent reset. Thanks a lot for your assistance! I hope the issue is posted to the correct section. If not, please let me know and I'll update it.

Ensure the display is configured for 60Hz during power-off mode in the Intel Graphics settings.

Thank you for your message! I reviewed it before and adjusted it to 60 Hz, but the update didn't take effect.

You turned off the display power-saving feature in Intel Graphics Settings, and it appears to have resolved the issue. Restarting your laptop will help confirm this change. After restarting, you can proceed with the update.

That's the scenario I was thinking of. I didn't have an Intel graphics card, so I had to rely on memory. Luckily, it functioned properly.
