I purchased my laptop in December 2019 (Lenovo Yoga C940 i5 1035G4) and recently switched to Windows 11. Over the past month, whenever I use the trackpad, the screen flickers, even though the touchscreen functions properly. I've tried various solutions, but they only last a short time. The main problem is that the advice I found online doesn't seem customized for my exact situation.

Are you a driver? (IOBit driver booster) Should refresh be set to 60 on Windows?

I encountered this problem with a Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 2 at work. I resorted to using Lenovo's "System Update" tool, which revealed several driver updates not clearly listed on their website. Among them was a touch pad update along with many others. This fixed my issue, though I’m unsure which driver was the exact cause since the updater highlighted around ten that required updating. It might be worth trying this approach. Here’s the link to their tool: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloa...orkstation

I looked into it, and it doesn’t look like there are any driver problems. It might be related to the hardware or external screens. The device functions well most of the time, though it only worked reliably for a short period last weekend.

I've visited Best Buy and they said the problem was with the screen connection. They replaced the screen, and after a short time it worked again. When I brought it home, it functioned properly for basic web browsing and YouTube videos. The next day the flickering returned. You might want to try resetting it to Windows 10.
