Hello. My PC has these specifications: an Intel i7-7700 CPU, 8GB RAM at 2133MHz, ATX-800W power supply, Z170 motherboard, and a 480 MHz BIOS. When I power it on, the BIOS loads and I can even edit it, but after saving the changes the screen disappears and the machine shuts down abruptly. I haven’t heard of anyone else experiencing this issue, am I facing something unusual? The LED indicators are functioning normally, the system stays cool, and it behaves as expected otherwise.

I would begin with PSU, choose a trusted reliable brand and ensure the power connections are correct rather than distributing loads across all rails.

But why is this happening? After uploading bios, nothing seems to work. Even with F12, I get a menu but when I pick the drive for my PC it crashes. What’s going on here? This is really confusing!

It mentions goldenfield atx 800w with 80 plus gold. Probably not exactly 80 plus gold, but that’s the model name.

Goldenfield isn’t recognized for their PSU performance, particularly in high-power categories. It seems the system was likely compromised early on. I believe the minimal posting in the GPU bios indicates a low-power setup. Anything more than that probably triggered a hardware fault or caused excessive power draw, overloading the PSU.

It seems the power supply unit might be defective. Would you like guidance on replacing it?

Consider a top-tier model with an MSI 850-watt gold design.
