Earlier this week I replaced my power supply and graphics card. The PSU failed immediately after I turned it on—it flickered briefly before shutting off. My new PSU worked perfectly, but two of my storage drives stopped responding. Everything else seemed fine for a couple of weeks. Recently, Windows updated and caused crashes in both RE3 and Cyberpunk. After restarting, the PC froze and displayed a blue screen each time I opened an app. I suspect a faulty Windows installation. I attempted a clean reinstall, wiped all drives, but encountered errors during setup (errors 0x80070570 and 0xC0000005). I’m trying to troubleshoot by updating BIOS, re-seating RAM, swapping USB ports, and testing different ports. It’s possible the motherboard is the issue. I found a Reddit thread discussing similar problems with a new build here: https://reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/n...xc0000005/. I’m uncertain whether it’s my CPU or motherboard, but I’m considering replacing the components. Any suggestions?

It seems the software is linked to faulty Windows installations and possibly damaged files. Suggest cleaning the affected drive and USB, then installing a clean Windows version.

I also attempted it. I switched to a different machine to reinstall my USB stick, making fresh copies of the installation media each time. Updated the drive settings on my computer to fresh versions, and tried installing on the three separate drives just in case something was wrong. The same error codes kept appearing.

It might be related to a mobile device... I faced a similar issue before.

I'll try that. Perhaps it will help.

My prediction is correct. Rather than purchasing the same model for $300, I'm opting to upgrade the motherboard and CPU. I plan to place the order next week. For now, I'll continue testing to check for any updates.

You might want to test each part individually to determine the source of the issue. However, it seems the issue could be connected to the motherboard itself.

I used the tools I have to change what I have at hand. Chose to upgrade the Mobo and CPU. I’ll check next week about the new arrival. If it doesn’t work, I’ll reset everything.
