I'm experiencing an issue where my monitors intermittently go black, only under certain conditions. It varies depending on the load and doesn't occur during normal browsing. I've checked different ports, cables, and driver versions, but the problem persists. It seems to happen mainly when I'm using more demanding applications. My system specs are Intel Xeon X5650, Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 1070Ti with 14GB DDR3 RAM at 1333Mhz. The issue appears across multiple drivers and can be triggered by sending wallpapers to a phone via Wallpaper Engine, which also stresses the CPU. Temperatures are within normal ranges (50-60°C CPU, 70-75°C GPU). It's a brief blackout lasting about a second, not related to CPU power or overheating.
It doesn't always stay clear which device turns black. You can verify you're using the correct cable for both the GPU and monitor. If overdrive or variable refresh rate is active, try turning it off. Ensure the cable matches your monitor's specifications. Swapping with another working monitor might help if the issue persists. If the problem continues on your perfect monitor, it could be a faulty cable or GPU port. You can also test the input port on the monitor and confirm the power connection is secure.
