This issue has been occurring often lately. My actions—such as downloading files, launching new projects, or playing games—can trigger it. Suddenly the screen turns black, the GPU halts HDMI output, fans spin fast, and any audio stops with glitches. The GPU and motherboard lights stay on. Each time it happens, I must press the power button to restart and turn it back on. It keeps repeating.

Specifications: Intel® Core™ i5-6600 CPU @ 3.30GHz, 32 GB RAM, DDR4 system, 64-bit OS, x64 processor. Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2, OS build 19045.2728. Experience includes Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4190.0 BIOS.

Extras: Logitech MX Master (wireless mouse), MX Keys (wireless keyboard), Archer T2U Nano AC600, Xbox Wireless Adapter. I have reset the CMOS several times and ensured all cables are firmly connected.

You may be running low on power and require a replacement PSU. What model do you currently have?

You might be experiencing a failing PSU. My previous unit was likely to cause similar problems. The only variation is that my GPU fans stopped spinning completely. I swapped out the GPU but the issue persisted. I upgraded to a Toughpower PF1 750W and it resolved the problem entirely.

You recently purchased an 800W power supply today, the SilverStone Technology SX800-LTI SFX-L. It’s designed to provide clear feedback on its performance.

You've managed to keep the PC running for a week, but the screen now has less consistent performance. Occasional blackouts occur, especially when using Blender or Unreal Engine, and the GPU fans spin hard during intense rendering tasks like Cycles mode. To prevent this, consider optimizing your workflow, adjusting settings, and monitoring system resources.

It seems the updates aren't helping, the power supply upgrade didn't make a difference, and I'm not excited about getting more equipment.
