Hey, I'm experiencing a black screen while gaming. The display goes dark for a few seconds, then nothing appears. I have to restart the PC repeatedly. Sometimes it lasts up to two hours without any issues, but other times it happens in under an hour. This problem started when I first set up my PC. My system runs Windows 10 Family (10.0.19044 Build 19044), with 16 GB of RAM, an Intel i7-11700K processor at 3.60GHz, and 30 updates installed. The monitor is a G27Q from Gigabyte, and the graphics card is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070. I've had good performance for most games, but sometimes it drops to just 2 hours or less before going black.

I've checked my specs, drivers, and temperatures—CPU stays under 78°C, GPU around 80°C, and all updates are current. I have the latest software for the monitor, motherboard, and GPU. My RAM LEDs light up during startup and turn off afterward. At first, the PC booted with four RAM sticks, but one day it wouldn't even start at all, so I removed some sticks (slots 1 and 3). After replacing those, it works fine. However, when I test each stick individually while playing, every single stick causes a black screen. This makes me think the issue might be with the motherboard or another component. Someone suggested it could be a hardware problem, but I can't test that easily except by swapping parts. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

No details provided about your power supply model. The Corsair 650 Gold won’t reveal which of their six gold units you own. Did Event Viewer display any issues near the crash time?

Are you referring to a pirated copy? I’d assume so initially after eliminating common reasons like temperature and drivers.

Pirating is definitely not recommended, and it won't provide a stable experience. You might encounter problems mainly during games, not in everyday use.

I just updated my post and now my power supply is a LEPA 700W. The event viewer indicates the Kernel-Power 41 problem occurred 22 times in the last week and 7 times in the past day. The timing matches when I turn on my computer, especially after a black screen restart. I also have Kernel-Power issues every time I boot up my PC.

I've experimented with various settings. It seems the issue might be related to the monitor, specifically the AMD Freesync Premium feature that was turned on. Disabling it resolved the problem and eliminated black screens. If you have it enabled, consider turning it off. There are still some concerns with my RAM, but they don't seem connected to the screen issues.
