Hello. A friend purchased some new components to enhance the system, and I came over to assist with the assembly:
Motherboard - Asrock A320M Pro4
(Old) CPU Ryzen 5 1500x → Ryzen 7 5800x
(Old) PSU Fortron 500W → Seasonic 750W 80+ Gold
Memory - Two 8GB Adata sticks, clocked at 2666 MHz each. Previously, both were set to run at that frequency. (Possibly a problem?)
According to the motherboard’s documentation, the BIOS needs to be updated to version 7.40 to support the new 5800x. This requires an earlier update to version 7.00.
I saved the 7.00 update file on a FAT32 USB drive, used instant flash, and it worked smoothly—reaching 62% and confirming "Flash Successful, press enter to restart."
Since then, there has been no video output from the machine. I checked every online resource and tried all possible solutions. After the final BIOS screen with that warning, the computer began booting in a loop. Eventually, it started beeping four times during startup (this time not a loop).
I suspected the BIOS might have reset due to confusion with the RAM sticks. I removed one and tested the other in every slot—no improvement.
I cleared CMOS, removed the battery, reset the BIOS via the motherboard jumper, but it didn’t help. Disconnected all peripherals, hard drives, and the GPU.
The USB stick contained Windows installation files. I assumed that wouldn’t interfere with the update process, but I had no idea. I noted that the update completed successfully.
Since I don’t have a spare CPU, motherboard, or RAM to test, the PC will be taken to a repair shop soon. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. This situation might be relevant for others who encounter the same problem in the future.

Attempt using only one stick of memory in the A2 slot, then proceed with the next steps. Ensure your display cable is connected to an output on the graphics card, not the motherboard, as this CPU lacks integrated graphics. Follow the BIOS hard reset instructions carefully. After about three to five minutes, remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard and press the power button on the case continuously for 15-30 seconds to clear any remaining charge. Once finished, reinstall the battery with the correct orientation. If you removed the graphics card, you can reinstall it now, but reconnect all relevant power cables as well as your display cable. Reconnect the power supply cable, turn the PSU back on, and restart the system. It should show the POST screen and allow you to enter CMOS/BIOS setup. Enter the bios program, adjust boot settings for Windows or legacy systems, and save changes. If the system boots successfully, you can proceed further, including configuring memory profiles, fan settings, or other custom options that may have been lost during the reset. In certain situations, after resetting, it might be necessary to load default or optimal values in BIOS to restore hardware tables for booting. It’s also advisable to consider switching to a different display if the issue stems from a video signal problem, such as using HDMI instead of the original setup, especially if you experience no visual input or signal messages. If you cannot access the BIOS, trying another monitor can help, as some systems fail due to displayport configurations.
Well then, sending it to a repair shop seems like a waste of your time. You'd probably be better off getting it fixed or replacing it if it's defective. If it's been too long for a regular store to handle it, reaching out to ASRock might be more effective. Any repair shop will just repeat the same steps we've talked about and charge you for their services.
