I purchased a 3700x and X570 Aorus Elite roughly three years ago. I’m thinking about upgrading my CPU to the 5800X3D, which should arrive next week. My BIOS is currently F11, and I attempted to upgrade to the latest version (F37 or similar). After the update, I encountered a blue screen when entering the Windows login screen repeatedly. Once I reinstalled back to F11, it worked fine. I’m unsure what to do next. One possibility is updating the chipset drivers as well.

Didn't you attempt a full CMOS reset and a second flash? You might also consider reverting to an older firmware version—anything below F30 will work for the 5800X3D.

I haven't attempted to reset the CMOS yet, since it still functions with the earlier BIOS release. I'm checking what options are available before proceeding with a reset. The F30 model didn't work either.

The updated BIOS activates fTPM and likely secure boot. Your operating system probably wasn’t installed with those features enabled. Configure Windows to start in Safe Mode using MsConfig, refresh the BIOS (ensure UEFI is active, CSM disabled, Secure Boot enabled, firmware TPM active), then boot into Windows (safe). Afterward, reset the settings in MsConfig and restart—your system should now boot normally.

It seems you want to ensure the system is ready by activating certain components in the operating system prior to updating the BIOS.

You can look for UEFI boot settings in the system's power menu or during startup, or consult your device's manual for hidden options.

When I turn off CSM, it fails to recognize my SATA SSD because the boot driver isn't working.

Your SSD isn't MBR formatted. It should be GPT for proper operation.
