Yes, you're currently using a previous release of the kernel.

Certainly, the adjustments are quite subtle. It seems unlikely a major problem will emerge unexpectedly, so it might be wise to restart the alternative kernel via the advanced settings.

It seems the problems are resolved in the 4.15.0-39 generic install. The fix you referenced appears to be included, likely addressing the issue. I’m not sure exactly what the change was, but it worked.

Yea matches my expectations... Perhaps you overlooked updating update-grub or did amdgpu.dc=0 to fix the problem? The kernel settings are meant to activate the new amdgpu driver while deactivating the previous radeon version that caused flickering. Once you test running games, you'll see significant improvements in performance and speed. To check the active kernel parameters, run "cat /proc/cmdline" in a terminal.

I rebooted Ubuntu manually and tried sudo reboot, but it seems I didn’t complete the restart properly. The issue resolved when version 0-20 loaded. Since I’m still learning Linux, I might have made a mistake. I won’t be playing games on Ubuntu anytime soon, but I’ll remember this. Thanks for your support!
