Screen flickering during overclocking is a common issue.
For a while now my game specifically csgo has been experiencing frame drops it didn't have before. I've tried various solutions to restore its previous performance, from cleaning the system and using online programs. Eventually, I concluded it might be due to the game updating itself and my PC being quite old. I attempted overclocking the GPU, which seems possible, but I encountered some minor issues that require a quick solution. When I try to overclock the screen it starts to flicker and then stops, forcing me to restart the system, which isn't ideal. As someone not very experienced, I was just curious about this situation. My PC has a 550 Watt power supply, which is relatively low. I've read that higher wattage is needed for overclocking, especially considering the CPU, motherboard, and GPU. The screen flicker and crashes seem clear indications of a problem. I'm wondering if upgrading the power supply to something like 750 Watts could resolve this issue or if it's actually a GPU-related error.
For some time now, my CSGO game has been experiencing frame drops it didn’t have before. I’ve tried various solutions to restore its performance, ranging from cleaning the system and using online programs. I attempted overclocking the GPU, which seems possible, but I encountered issues where the screen flickers and stops, requiring a system reboot to fix. This is puzzling since I’m not an expert. Could you clarify what your PC is running? A screenshot from Speccy would be helpful.
