Hi all!
I'm experiencing a problem where my screen goes completely black at random—while playing games, sleeping the PC, or watching YouTube. The fans spin extremely loudly, and I can only restart by powering off hard.
A bit of context: a few weeks ago, my CPU cooler detached and was only loosely secured to the CPU. I think this might have triggered these issues. I replaced the cooler, and it now keeps the CPU below 60 degrees during stress tests, which seemed normal at first since no crashes happened then.
However, the crashes have started again. Could it be that my CPU was damaged by inadequate cooling?

I've tried the following (from forums):
- Update BIOS
- Refit GPU and cables to GPU (cleaned with compressed air)
- Install new drivers (Chipset, LAN, Audio, RAID)

So far, I can't reproduce the crashes intentionally, and stress testing CPU, GPU, or RAM gives positive results.
Anyone else have faced this issue? What fixes did you apply?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Check your BIOS settings after confirming the BIOS update was applied using the newest BIOS version.
Upgrade your drivers (Chipset, LAN, Audio, Raid) via an elevated command—right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator. If you used DDU, remove all GPU drivers (Intel, Nvidia, AMD) and then reinstall using the latest version from Nvidia's support site in an elevated command.

I haven't reset the CMOS yet, I'll attempt this first and inform you.
Drivers were set up with admin access, DDU was applied in Windows Safe Mode. GPU and CPU drivers were also installed under admin settings.
