Hey everyone, just noticed this happening lately—my screen flickers randomly when not in a game. I’ve been using an MSI monitor that runs at 120Hz natively, but after switching to a custom refresh rate of 144Hz, the flickering started. I uninstalled all Nvidia drivers and reinstalled the newest one, but the problem persists. My HDMI cable seems to support 144Hz too, so it’s not the latest driver issue. I turned off all peripherals and plugged them back in without success. I’m not sure what else to try after a clean install and reinstallation. Any suggestions would be great!

Did you apply DDU to delete all GPU drivers? Reinstallation was prompted to reinstall them via an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
Another option is to reduce the refresh rate and check if the problem continues. What is your motherboard's BIOS version at this time?

Try it on another system, it could be a faulty monitor. Swap the HDMI cable or switch to a different connector such as DP. Change the GPU port and reinsert the GPU.

Sorry for the delayed response. I tried using DDU but didn’t attempt the admin install; I’ll give it another go. Besides, I’m not sure how to update my BIOS or what the final appearance will be.

Hey, I'll give it a shot too—I'm not sure which HDMI cable to get for my 144Hz monitor. I've got one from Amazon for around $9, and I should check the GPU port as well.

Random inquiry, but is it all games or just one particular title? And if it's just one, which one should we be asking about?
