I've noticed this problem lately—a black bar popping up at the top, covering everything except the mouse. It blocks all other windows but lets me still interact with them and move them. This happened after Quake Champions failed to load. If I recall right, it also appeared when my Skyrim session crashed. What can I do about it? Here’s what you see right now: (Also Win+Tab doesn’t seem to be impacted) How can I resolve this while it’s happening? It’s not urgent enough to search for a long-term solution, but I’d prefer a clean install if I have the chance.

It seems uncertain about the images, but they aren't loading.

Missing images and broken links are appearing. It seems Yandex is down or blocking access. Consider using Imgur instead. Paste photos directly here in the forum without going through another site. No saving screenshots needed.

It did. The appearance on screenshots suggests we can exclude the monitor and possibly the video cable as the source. Is that black bar only visible during Windows sessions? (You rebooted, right?) Or does it appear in the BIOS too? Have you reinstalled your GPU drivers? Would it help to create a new user account, log out of the current one, and log in with the new account to check if the bar remains?

I didn't restart but it disappears each time I log out and log back in. It doesn’t appear in the BIOS settings. I haven’t reinstalled the drivers yet, but I’ll do that now that you brought it up.
