Hey there, I faced a problem with my PC after upgrading the GPU and PSU. When I run Unreal Engine, the computer crashes unexpectedly. One monitor goes black while the other freezes, and I have to restart it manually. The Task Manager shows a heavy power demand, but my CPU stays at 100% even when nothing is running. It seems like a Windows software issue might be causing the problem. My specs are: PSU – Bequiet Pure Power 11.7kW, CPU – Ryzen 5 3600, cooler – Wraith Prism, GPU – RX 6700 XT, RAM – Corsair DIMM 3200MHz 32GB, motherboard – MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC, HDD – 6TB, SSD – 1TB M.2, PCIe SSD, case – Sharkoon Lit with 6 fans. The PSU lacks a 14-pin connector, so I used the second VGA pin from the same cable, which now makes noise. I’m worried it’s not a power issue since it should handle more than enough watts before now. No power problems existed before the upgrade (RX 580 + BeQuiet 500W). Thanks for your help!

In the year 2000 performance was solid. The AMD Wraith Prism seems underpowered with low airflow despite its claimed 3200rpm. Reduce noise and consider: 1) A power supply between 750W-850W from brands like Antec, Corsair, ThermalTake, CoolerMaster or EVGA—look for sales listings. 2) Use two separate modular ports for GPU connections. 3) Opt for a liquid cooling setup with 2 or 3 fans; Corsair is recommended. Mixing 144Hz and 60Hz isn't advised—the 144Hz suits gaming, while 60Hz won't help much.

These options seem feasible. The power supply link and cooler setup appear compatible.

EVGA is acceptable with a suitable power rating, but opt for Gold models for durability in the series, not Bronze.

Search for Corsair, DeepCool, NZXT, and EVGA on Amazon to find better prices while keeping quality brands. Avoid purchasing from eBay—items listed there are often used or damaged.

These ratings indicate efficiency loss during conversion, not durability. They show typical power loss around 50% with minor variation. Every manufacturer offers a broad selection, so ensure you have strong safety measures and verified testing before purchasing. What you buy has little impact on long-term performance.

Name represents superior design, ensuring your system stays stable right out of the box—no messy Chinese-made shortcuts. Just graduated from the A+ level and reviewed some manuals? Gain practical insight; there’s no room for you as a moderator here. Alternatively, consider studying electrical engineering first, then return to help others with PSU recommendations. Yes, I do have a charged fire extinguisher nearby, but only for other uses. Basically, I’m not here to debate what I already know or argue minor details. Just assist people or stay quiet.

When you revisit the article, it becomes clear he referenced your idea regarding the significance of 80+ ratings, rather than your argument about purchasing generic power supplies.

I received the 850-watt power supply, but the problem persists... The task manager indicates excessive power draw from the desktop:/
