Screen black in Premiere Pro issue – need assistance!
Hello everyone, I’m experiencing a black screen in Premiere Pro after extended use, typically after more than an hour. The display turns completely black and the keyboard stops responding. After some time, the PC restarts and displays error messages. I’m working with 4K videos mainly for colour correction. According to the AMD Bug report, there was a driver timeout on my system. Recently, Premiere Pro generated a DMP file showing the following errors: FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: NULL_CLASS_PTR_READ_c0000005_amdocl64.dll!Unknown ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 - The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p. The memory could not be %s. MODULE_NAME: amdocl64. I also frequently see the message about Radeon WattMan settings being restored after a system failure. My GPU, an Asus Dual 6600xt, seems to be involved—Asus suggested several fixes like reinstalling drivers, running diagnostics, and installing GPU Tweak 3, which I’ve tried but haven’t resolved anything. They now advise getting it serviced. The GPU tweak feature is unresponsive when opened, and I’ve noticed low storage space previously, though it worked before with more than 20GB. When using the 1080 preset, the PC becomes completely unresponsive even after a full scan, requiring a case reset. Additionally, I enabled Smart Access Memory in my BIOS; temperatures are normal, GPU junction stays under 75%. Please let me know if this is related to my graphics card. Thank you for your support!
