Hi everyone, it's been a long time since I joined this chat! I got Far Cry 6 a few weeks back and it's been great. But after installing the first update, launching the game keeps showing a black screen. MSI Afterburner is active, showing all my system details and everything seems normal. I can switch tabs easily and other apps like Chrome work fine. Restarted the PC and updated drivers, but nothing changed. Checked the Ubisoft support site too—no results. My PC specs are: Ryzen 5 3600, Asus LC240, ROG B550-A, 16GB Crucial Balistix (3200), 256GB NVMe SSD, 2TB HDD, RTX 3060 Ti, FE Seasonic 650, SGX Lian Li O11D Mini. Any advice would be super helpful!

Identical problem... fully current Windows and drivers. After attempting an automatic update, the game crashes with a black screen. I've tried running it as admin, but nothing works. Let me know if you have any solutions. Your setup: Strix x570 5800x Corsair 3600 32gb RTX3090.

I just checked my installation via Ubisoft Connect and it reported several corrupted files. I'll follow up shortly...

It has started fetching a significant volume of information once it confirmed its validation.

Ensure Ubisoft Connect or Uplay is open. Check the game files for verification. Allow the download to finish. Launch the game and the patch will install successfully. Everything functions perfectly now.

I just made an account to express my thanks! I was stuck for two hours trying to figure out what was happening, then I noticed this issue—lots of corrupted files after the update. Thanks again, man!
