Screen appears dark yet displays illumination across pixels
Hello, I see you're having issues with your Acer monitor, a 31.5" 1440p 165hz model (ED323QU Pbmiippx). The screen lights up faintly when turned on, and it seems to be struggling to display properly after a power cycle. The speakers also work when connected to your PC, but the problem appears to be with the monitor itself. Could anyone have experienced similar issues or suggest a solution? Thank you for reaching out.
Does the screen include a built-in menu with options for picture settings? If yes, press the buttons to launch it. If the menu doesn't appear on the screen, it may indicate an issue with the display panel or the cable. Check if you can access the menu and let us know what you find.
the interface doesn't activate properly, no logo appears even when turning it on; the display behaves like a static image with flickering pixels before settling to black again. audio functions work but the visuals remain unresponsive. dragging tabs or apps works normally, and the system shows 165hz and 1440p settings on windows.
Additionally, when you tap the button to access the menu and adjust the back button, it instantly turns black and then returns to normal, as though a setting was changed.
If this applies, I’d suggest your display is faulty—likely a defective panel. For a newer model (under a year old), you can initiate a return or warranty claim. With an older unit (over a year old), the options are limited; you’ll probably need to purchase a replacement. Keep in mind that repairs or replacements usually take a few weeks, and unless it’s a costly display, many prefer buying new instead.
