Hey there! It sounds like you're dealing with a tricky issue with your second monitor. Over the past few hours, everything seemed normal until the screen went dark while your laptop stayed on. You tried several fixes—reinstalling drivers, checking the HDMI cable, and even using a different setup—but nothing resolved it. The problem seems to be more about the connection or port itself rather than the cable. Since the issue popped up suddenly and without clear warning signs before, it might be worth inspecting your laptop's HDMI port for any damage or debris. If you're still unsure, sharing more details about the port condition could help. Good luck!

Your laptop recognizes the monitor as active, yet you don’t see any display output. Adjusting settings through the on-screen controls still results in no visual feedback, making it appear as though the monitor isn’t powered on.

I connected my laptop to your TV, and everything seems to work properly. The HDMI port on your laptop appears to be in good condition. Your girlfriend's laptop also works well, so the issue isn't clear. It's hard to figure out what might help without more details.

The prompt mentions a setting labeled "choose the presentation mode for your displays." You should select the appropriate option, and it's recommended to experiment with various resolutions and refresh rates to identify the best performance.

I received a USB C to display port adapter, and it functions properly with that setup. Nothing in the adjustments affected my experience.
