scrapyard conflicts pentium ii
I just finished school and now have some free time. I’m thinking about creating a scrapyard war game using the old computers in my barn. They’re all outdated hardware, but I want to see what I can accomplish. I own several Pentium 2 and 3 processors, and I’m familiar with the hardware setup, though figuring out the software side is tricky. I know how to install things on my newer machines using ISO images, but does that work here too? USB booting seems possible, but I haven’t found a genuine Win98 ISO for these models. Anyone have any advice on running software on this kind of equipment? Also, I’m planning to use either a Pentium II 350 or a Pentium III 450, both in Slot 1, and I’d like to maximize my existing RAM. I also have a variety of drives—IDE, floppy, and disk—and would appreciate any guidance. Thanks!
I handled my own scrap battles, landed a 660OC, 2700k, Noctua CPU cooler, and a Baller motherboard with ten USB 3.0 ports. It cost nothing. Someone handed it all to me.
The older drivers won't work well; I'll need a networking card. Running 98 is tough with networking, and it might not even support my internet.
