Hello everyone, my AMD Ryzen 7 9800 X3D isn’t doing well in benchmarks anymore. I’m only getting around 1045 points on Cinebench 2024, which is below the usual expectations. It seems I won’t reach 800 points on CPU-Z tests either. Interestingly, my temperatures stay under 62°C even when running at full load (98-100% usage). Recently I swapped out my GPU and had to update the BIOS; otherwise I’d have faced an issue with my RTX 4080 not sending a video signal. In games, I still see solid frame rates and performance isn’t an issue, but something feels off. After updating the BIOS, I loaded the default optimized settings. Maybe I’m missing some configuration? I don’t remember my previous Cinebench 2024 score, but I recall temperatures often spiking above 70°C during heavy tasks or other demanding activities. Here are my specs: Gigabyte B650M Gaming Wi-Fi (rev 1.2) with BIOS F35 (3D mode and Eco Mode disabled), AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5 32GB (Dual Channel) – EXPO enabled, Corsair RM1000e PSU. I also checked the BIOS settings; PBO was set to Auto, but switching to “Motherboard” mode gave me these limits: PPT Limit [mW] – 90000, TDC Limit [mA] – 100000, EDC Limit [mA] – 120000. These seem low, especially the PPT value. Should I aim for 162000 on PPT? I found this info online. Let me know your thoughts!

The reading at 62c under full load seems unusually low for a 9800X3D; it's typically higher. Could you verify the power consumption and clock speed during Cinebench?

I verified using HWInfo that the core clock remains around 4,700 MHz and the CPU power is rising to 90W. I included a screenshot of HWinfo while running Cinebench showing all the metrics. Updated: In my BIOS I found an option PBO Enhancement with various levels to select—perhaps worth trying?

It's restricting itself to 1.2V 90W, matching what you observe in the BIOS. Consider adjusting those settings in the BIOS to something like 110W 1.25V. If the HWINFO values indicate otherwise, the issue is likely there.

I believe I need to run this test. Before checking your solution, I've turned on the PBO Enhancement for a 2-star level and achieved 1220 points on Cinebench 2024, though I'm still capped at 90W. Likely I'll have to adjust those figures manually.
