Score from cinebench R20
Score from cinebench R20
Someone with experience in Cinebench can clarify your results. Your score range of 6990–7030 usually indicates a solid performance, often placing you in the top tier for your rig type. It suggests your setup is delivering consistent and competitive results. If you want deeper insights, focus on benchmarking against similar hardware and software configurations.

The scoring method is probably built around an internal factor (actually, it should be). It serves as a way to rank CPUs relative to each other. Most users treat it as a random value for comparison purposes. To gauge your performance, match your results with others using the same CPU. You’ll typically see scores in reviews. The forum maintains a big spreadsheet of Cinebench R15 data, though the R20 version is still limited.
Ryzen 9 3900X paired with a 2080 Super and 64GB RAM delivering up to 3600MHz performance on a Gigabyte X570 motherboard.
It's around 7210 on a single-core basis, which is close to the expected range.
It seems the single core will likely be around 500 units instead of 7k. I’m a bit frustrated with my 3900x because every review and benchmark claims it’s over 7000. My machine only hit 6600, which is impressive. The only way I managed to exceed 7000 was by overclocking. I reduced the voltage from 1.45v to 1.25v on the first day, maybe that helped.
The changes in score indicate the test is performing calculations. The margin of error reflects accuracy. Running the test ten times should keep results close to the same value. Small adjustments can still make a big difference. For example, other CPU-intensive activities happening at the same time may impact performance.
