Scanner Epson ES-300W comes with a separate driver for Windows 10.
Attempting to link an Epson ES-300W scanner to a Windows 10 computer using a USB cable. Surprisingly, Windows failed to locate a driver for it. Visiting the Epson support site revealed no separate TWAIN driver available; it’s only offered within a large software bundle. Contacting Epson support confirmed there is no standalone option. I searched various sources without success and haven’t found any dedicated Epson forums. I’m reaching out for advice on whether a standalone TWAIN driver exists that could work with this scanner and Windows 10. We may also need to use it on other PCs that restrict full software installation. Thank you!
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! You'll need to use the drivers package that comes with the executable. From what I understand, you're going to install three thin applications when you run the program; Scanner Driver, Epson Scan 2 Utility v6.4.20.0, Epson Software Updater, and Epson ScanSmart from this download source: https://epson.com/Support/Scanners/ES-Se...B11B242201
You could bypass this by setting up the Epson software, which will handle the driver installation. Once confirmed it functions, you can remove the Epson software and possibly keep the drivers. This method worked for me with Windows 7 systems.
