I just fell victim to a scam. It was a middleman setup and I handed them about $160 worth of items. I know my actions were foolish, but the only solution is to report the scammers as trade banned. Please help. https://support.steampowered.com/view.ph...-TGJN-2390 Share your experience: (Middleman) http://steamcommunity.com/id/_Someone__/ (Trader) http://steamcommunity.com/id/NegotiateJee87 {New profile: http://steamcommunity.com/id/GamerNegotiating } {New, new profile: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Miraclegamer14 } Contacting Valve support: I was tricked by these two Counter Strike: Global Offensive items (http://steamcommunity.com/market/listing...Scarred%29 and http://steamcommunity.com/market/listing...-Tested%29) I gave my knives, a M4A1-S Hyper Beast, a Battleblock Theater head, and some TF2 gear. In total, around $160 was lost. I realize I made a huge mistake, but the loss is significant. I can't handle that money. I really need your help and hope to recover my items. By the way, I noticed the middleman had a warning on his profile, but I didn’t see it. Please assist me. I demand my stuff back. My chat with the trader was: Never share your password. never involve any intermediary, even if a certificate claims approval from Gaben personally. always confirm the requirement for a middleman and act right away if they request one.

Without video evidence of a scam, they won't be banned. It only serves to trigger a warning pop-up when someone tries to trade with them, stating they've been reported for scamming by multiple people.

It's confusing why you'd act as a middleman for something digital. You usually handle physical items. It feels like you're missing basic common sense. Have you noticed how hard it is to be sure about people online?

Trading can be tough. Apologies for any losses you've experienced. Feel free to ask for trading advice or middleman guidance if you need it.

I have a great idea to prevent this: as soon as I receive something, I immediately sell it for just a few cents below its market value. Virtual pixels aren’t worth risking my account or real money.
