I recently received a suspicious call about my Uplay account being terminated. The caller claimed it was from Ubisoft and mentioned an illegal copy of Watch_Dogs on my system. They provided my full name and phone number, which I didn’t use, and said they’d need my credit card to verify the copy. After playing the game hours later, I realized this was likely a scam. The hidden number made it hard to confirm it was legitimate, and there was no proper support contact. I’m sharing this to warn others about such attempts.

It's actually quite simple to collect personal details these days, and that makes me feel uneasy.
Scammers usually lack the time or skill to gather genuine contact details and cold-call people with real names. If they do have a name linked to a phone number, it might be impressive, but it’s unclear how they obtained it. There could be a data breach involving Ubisoft that they’re avoiding discussing.
