Hello,
My English is not very good, so I wrote this with a translator. I’m facing an issue where the games keep scaling unexpectedly, even though the monitor and game resolutions seem to match. In theory, it shouldn’t be scaling, right? I have an Nvidia GPU, but I’m wondering if the problem might be related to the monitor’s response time. Changing it doesn’t seem to help, and Nvidia says I shouldn’t make any changes.

In the Nvidia Control Panel, verify that Image Scaling is not activated within the Manage 3D Settings section.

Certain games will maintain performance by adjusting to keep the frame rate stable, check the game settings for fsr dssl (dynamic scaling) and similar options.

However, if the in-game options don't include fsr or dssl, just toggle V-sync on or off. I've already turned it off.

Could you clarify what you're referring to? It seems like you might be asking about images or a different concept than scaling.

I believe the issue lies in how every time I switch the scaling mode or adjust settings in the nvidia control panel, the game's visuals and input lag change. I'm worried I won't be the same after restarting the game again. I've already tried using a driver clean delete with ddu. I considered disabling full screen optimization.

the terms you're referring to relate to how visuals appear and how performance feels during gameplay. it's about identifying signs of scaling issues or lag based on resolution changes. this could help pinpoint problems affecting your experience in specific games. please share your full system specifications for a more accurate assessment.

So to clarify things, I’m mainly a competitive player who mostly plays Rocket League. Regarding visuals, it means the game feels faster or slower based on the scaling settings. Also, the camera performs better in full view without scaling and is quicker. Factors like aspect ratio or full screen also affect this. I can gauge input lag by watching how quickly the wheel turns in the game. When scaling up, input lag tends to rise because of extra processing. Performance is solid, but it’s up to you to decide. My setup includes an Intel i5 -12400f, RTX 3070 Ti, ASUS B660M Plus, 3200MHz DDR4 RAM, a 1TB SSD, Windows 10 not activated, a Dell G2723H monitor, and 750W gold power supply. As a competitive player, I keep in-game settings low except for render quality, which is set to High. The game runs at 240 fps, matching my display’s refresh rate. Appreciate your understanding.

FSR and DLSS usually use a fixed res scale, but there are games that adjust scaling dynamically to maintain stable frame rates. You can easily switch this feature on or off within the game settings. Please specify the game you're using so I can assist better.
