scale of resolution
scale of resolution
first of all i apologies for my bad english second of all does "resolution scale" work same as changing a resolution from 1080p to 1440p i know that if i put my resolution from 1080p to 1440p it will make the gpu load more and the cpu load less but what about resolution scale like in rainbow six siege or far cry 5 thare is a setting called resolution scale i can put it from 0.5 to 2.0 i know that it makes the game render at higher res but does it still work same as putting 2k or 4k my question is does : resolution scale make the cpu load less at higher res ?
Resolution scaling only affects the internal rendering quality of 3D elements, not the final framebuffer display. Adjusting the scale from 1080p to a higher equivalent like 1440p won’t match native 1440p visuals. Increasing resolution generally raises CPU usage rather than reducing it, and it could actually demand more processing power from the GPU.
The "CPU load" reduces only when your GPU drops from 120fps to 60fps, since the CPU isn't as strained then. Lowering the native resolution also influences aspects such as on-screen text and maintains clarity in game resolution scaling.
