Hey everyone, I'm planning to switch to Windows 10. I'm curious if it's possible to save the ISO onto a USB drive for a fresh install later, especially when I upgrade my SSD. Also, will the new security key still work with my Windows 8 account?

Upgrading sends your computer’s HWID to Microsoft servers, allowing activation with a generic key. When Windows requests the key, you can ignore it. Simply paste the ISO contents onto a USB drive and it should function, provided your motherboard supports UEFI.
