Hello, I’m starting by letting you know that I’m currently using Xmarks for syncing bookmarks and open tabs. However, I’ve noticed that open tabs don’t sync very often. It’s frustrating because I usually have many important tabs open, but they keep changing. Sometimes a crash or issue closes them all, making it hard to recover. I’ve switched browsers, but Chrome still fits my needs in terms of speed and features, even though it lacks some of what I require. My main question is: is there a way to automatically save or back up these tabs every time you open or close them? This would help protect them even if Chrome crashes and takes everything with it.

Keep your tabs pinned, they’ll return to their previous spot. Avoid reducing the area too much unless you’re not using them.

When you want related tabs to reopen automatically when you launch Chrome, using pinning is a common approach. However, closing Chrome manually isn't possible without additional steps like force-closing via Task Manager or shutting down the PC. Pinned tabs won't sync between devices. In case of an issue, you can save pages as bookmarks and store them in a folder. This method works well in my professional setting.

I don't pin every tab because opening many isn't practical. The best approach would be tracking only the xmarks for open tabs. The issue arises when clicking the sync button, as it usually syncs bookmarks but not the open tabs, and I'm confused about why that happens.

Sorry for the repeated update. So I was looking for a fix for my issue, and I believe I discovered something possible. I tried an extension for Chrome called "Tabs Outliner," which I read about on TheNextWeb. It seems to offer advanced features—reportedly handling millions of tabs. According to them, if Chrome crashes, it would keep all my open tabs intact, which is really helpful for me. I haven’t used Firefox lately; it tends to crash often and loses tabs easily, just like with xmarks. That’s why I’m sticking with Chrome, as the crashes are less frequent there and the interface feels smoother.
