It's Black Friday and I just purchased the Battlefield 5 Definitive Edition on Steam. I'm wondering if it's possible to combine my existing account with the Definitive Version since I'm already at level 105 in Origin, where I bought the standard edition a few years back.

To be certain, I’ll use the same EA account for all updates and saves. I don’t own Battlefield 5 yet, so I can’t verify everything directly. However, I’ve played other titles on Origin that I later purchased on Steam. I’ll likely launch the EA app (formerly Origin), adjust the settings, and confirm my Steam account is linked. Then I’ll purchase Battlefield 5. After installation, it should prompt for your EA login. If you have saved progress, that’s good. If not, you can uninstall and request a refund.

Launching BF on Steam opens the Origin client and signs you in automatically. It’s connected to your EA account, and there’s nothing to transfer that would be unusual for a multiplayer title today.

Thanks everyone, just merged the game data and linked the account. It automatically retrieved my save game and achievements from the standard version on Origin.
