Hey everyone, let's jump into the issue. I purchased the DA Inquisition premium edition back in 2014, being a big fan of the game. Recently I realized the DLCs were released in 2015, but I thought they were just extra content. Now I’m questioning why I should pay full price for them when they’re essentially just cut additions. This puts me in a tricky spot—I’m asking the internet for advice on how to resolve this.

The challenge started when I tried copying the DLC files to my original save files and running the game offline. It worked fine, even though an old character disappeared after 120 hours! But I couldn’t access the new DLCs. I also attempted to download a full, unofficial copy of DAI and ended up with the CPY-Deluxe Edition. That functioned properly, but when I tried to load my legitimate save games into the game, I discovered a problem: the unofficial version was patched to 1.11, while my save games were from 1.12. As a result, the game refused to load them and would require me to spend another 80 hours just to play through the story DLCs. That’s not feasible for me right now.

Anyone have a solution? Three possibilities:
1. Try activating the DLCs in the legitimate version.
2. Make my 1.12 save games work with a 1.11 game.
3. Get a non-legit version with the DLCs.

Unfortunately, despite my efforts, it didn’t help. A 1.12 “NL” version seems out of reach. I’d really appreciate any guidance or fixes you can offer. Thanks in advance, Adil!

Consider moving away to edit, then save files using the toolset. Open it and compare 1.11 save versus 1.12 save. Check the file format in a text editor.
