I'm planning to perform some minor overclocking on my GPU. I'm a bit concerned since I'm already at the limit for power usage. What's the best safe core clock, memory clock, and especially what voltage should I set? Or would it be better to focus on overclocking the CPU instead?

Yeah, that's quite low. It seems you're facing a CPU bottleneck, which means your GPU performance is being restricted by your CPU. In certain games this can be more pronounced, especially since the one you're playing in AC3 is CPU-heavy and the effects of your CPU limitation will be more obvious there. What game settings are you using in AC3? You might want to lower them a bit.

No, unfortunately those i3's have a locked multiplier, so you won't be able to get significant performance improvements. You could try adjusting the base clock, but this affects more than just the CPU and can make stability difficult. It's unlikely you'll be able to push it much higher.

I question whether an overclock for the GPU would actually help you. Which games do you play and what benefits do they offer in terms of GPU usage? If your GPU isn't consistently at 100% during gameplay, an overclock won't make much difference because your performance is already constrained by your CPU.

Right now I'm playing AC3 with 30-60fps, and sometimes my FPS drops to 27. Can I still overclock my CPU to keep up with the GPU?
