The article mentioned Samsung developing DDR5 for medical technology and data centers. Since they already produce consumer SSDs, it’s likely they could expand to offer DDR5 RAM for general use as well.

They likely don’t market directly under their own name, but it’s clear they’re supplying components for other businesses. Right now, they focus on DDR4 solutions, with the majority of their branded parts aimed at server or enterprise systems, while also offering chips to other firms that get integrated into consumer products.

They seem to be developing their own RAM solution.

After working through Corsair's outdated ICUE tools, I'm looking for a fresh option. Samsung looks promising—hope they avoid adding their own RGB solutions or RAM color features.

Compare Samsung's offerings in the DDR4 segment. They produce both memory chips and modules. Their branded products typically follow standards and are sold to system builders, appearing in various laptops and pre-assembled systems. Samsung components might be used by other manufacturers, often boosted beyond normal speeds or timing settings. For instance, B-die was a popular choice among overclockers.

Samsung supplies memory to various makers. Unlike Corsair or G.Skill, their RAM doesn’t include cooling fans or colored lights.

They don’t create it themselves because they already use SSDs.

The industry is quite crowded already. Samsung entered the SSD market early.
