Samsung curved oled g8 s34bg85 faces problems connecting to Xbox series s.
We recently purchased a Samsung Curved OLED G8 and encountered a problem. It only came with a Mini Display port to connect the display cable. The cable functions perfectly on our PC, but with the Xbox it doesn’t work because it uses an HDMI not DP connection. We’re looking for a compatible cable that can link the Xbox Series S to a monitor. We’ve already tested a Micro HDMI to HDMI adapter and a few other adapters, though one worked with our Blu-ray player—now that’s functional. I’ve also tried Micro HDMI to HDMI, HDMI to USB-C, and HDMI to Mini Display port, but none of these solved the issue. Could anyone recommend a specific brand or cable that has worked for them? Any tips on where to find it would be greatly appreciated. This helps us get the roommate’s setup back online. Thank you!
Any update on this? I'm facing the same issue. My Xbox connects to my TV with a normal HDMI cable, but if I use the HDMI to Micro-HDMI cable, no output. I've used 2 different cables as well and nothing has worked. Let me know if you found a fix!
Hi, the monitor has been causing some discomfort too. It’s frustrating that it doesn’t include the correct HDMI cable. I’ve had trouble locating a real ultra-fast HDMI cable that meets the V2.1 standard, especially in the UK—most just offer micro HDMI to HDMI versions. I opted for a regular “ultra high speed” cable with an adapter, and it works perfectly on my PS5. I’ll share both links below; the one with the PS5 should be sufficient. The adapter should resolve your issue. Cable Matters 2-Pack 8K/4K 120Hz Micro HDMI to HDMI Adapter (Black, 12 cm, HDR support for Raspberry Pi 4) – Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo. You’ll find similar products in your region. Always prioritize genuine ultra high speed cables, which usually have a QR code sticker and a verification app available on your phone.
