I'm not sure if anyone else has seen the new Samsung unpacked, but it's caused quite a bit of frustration despite my order for the S25U. Also, here are some notes on pricing and details—my location is Australia, so all prices are in AUD. If I've overlooked anything, let me know. I remember Samsung and Microsoft partnered around 2015 before the One UI update, but now the new S25 Ultra requires Gemini with Google Cloud Storage. That means you have to pay for both separately instead of using a unified solution. To save space on my device and keep full features, I’m forced to use OneDrive and Google Gemini, which feels like a waste. Switching to Google Photos would mean giving up Samsung’s AI photo tools I enjoy. It seems like a push to switch between two apps for something that could be integrated more smoothly with an update. One thing that stands out is the possible deal between Samsung and Microsoft for Windows 11 on their Book laptops, linking photos to 365. This suggests they’re targeting business users who rely on 365 on their devices. That makes sense only if most people use Samsung for work. I’m not sure if this is the full picture. Have you noticed anything similar? Also, for clarity: Google Drive plus cloud storage costs about $20 a month (or $240 a year) for 2TB, including AI features. 365 costs $129 a year (6TB) plus roughly $20 a month through Samsung, which still includes the 2TB of Google storage. Overall, it seems like a significant expense that might not be worth it unless you’re using it heavily on your laptop.
