I just assembled my new PC, but the M.2 slot isn’t showing up in the BIOS. It’s a 1TB Samsung 960 Evo. The motherboard is a Gigabyte Z490 AORUS Elite. I’m not sure what to do except maybe re-seat it, and I’m a bit worried it could be a bad socket.

Was das in den ersten Platz gesetzt? Denn dieser ist leer. Bitte stelle es in einen der beiden unteren Felder, die von Kühlkörpern abgedeckt sind.

The position you selected might not be active. Enabled slots can vary depending on what’s already installed elsewhere. Referring to the manual could provide clarity.

I placed it in the second one. I'm going to test it in the other socket.

I believe it may interfere with one or two SATA ports, though I haven't connected anything to them.

I was wondering if that's possible. My GPU is in the lower slot with fins on the back, and I'm planning to try removing it.

It seems I didn't adjust it correctly.
